I’ll still be at my beloved Brooklyn Indie Market this Saturday from 11-7, but on Sunday I’m trying something new: The Market at the Old American Can Facory. The Can Factory Market at the Old American Can Factory is a new place to find wares designed, crafted, grown or published from a broad community of creative makers. Located in the restored 5000 square foot garage of The Old American Can Factory, a historic industrial complex that is a curated haven to more than 200 artisans, artists, designers, publishers and non-profit organizations. My {NewNew} teammate Cakehouse, who makes adorable housewares by silk screening upcycled fabric, will be there too.
Location: 232 3rd Street at 3rd Avenue, Gowanus, brooklyn. Sunday 11am-7pm
It’s gorgeous here in Brooklyn and I’m looking forward to all of it!
SATURDAY: I’ll be at Brooklyn Indie Market from 11-7
SUNDAY: with the {NewNew} at the Renegade Craft Fair in McCarren Park, booth 45
BOTH DAYS: Wabisabi Brooklyn wares will be featured at 93 Nevins, the {NewNew} popup shop that is part of the Atlantic Avenue Art Walk.
Brooklyn Indie Market is on Smith Street near Union in Carroll Gardens.
93 Nevins is at 93 Nevins Street near Pacific in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
The Renegade Craft Fair is at McCarren Park in Williamsburg.
I met Celia and Ian of Lighthouse Leather this weekend at Brooklyn Indie Market. They reminded me I’ve been meaning to make belt buckles for a while now. They generously gave me a spare buckle to play with. Not bad for a first try, I think.
This requires further investigation…
